UK Private Capital appointed Shakery Group in the early stage of their expansion strategy to support with the creation of feasibility studies and undertake a full space planning analysis to achieve an efficient workplace. The brief included two key objectives: Maximise occupancy level to accommodate the planned business growth and deliver a workspace with a fresh look aligned with a new brand identity.

Strategic Expansion & Full Design and Build

The project comprised a 4,500 sq ft CAT B design and build fit-out of the newly occupied floor, alongside an extensive reconfiguration of the current floor space, bringing the total project footprint to circa 9,000 sq ft.

The newly developed floor was designed to enhance external engagement and internal collaboration. Key features include:

Dedicated Client & Event Space: A flexible collaboration area created to host external events while encouraging internal cooperation.

Meeting Suite: Six meeting rooms of varying sizes, carefully space-planned to support different styles of interaction, from small lounge-style discussions to formal board meetings.

Acoustic Performance: Working alongside our specialist acoustic consultants, we introduced branded acoustic wall panelling, acoustic artwork and ceiling-mounted acoustic baffles to ensure optimal sound control without compromising on design intent.

Optimising the Existing Floor

With client-facing functions relocated, our delivery team reconfigured the original floorplate to maximise desk capacity and improve operational efficiency. This included the removal of the former reception area and the extension and reconfiguration of the existing workspace arrangements to unlock additional seating while maintaining comfort and flow

Furniture & Investment Value

In partnership with our selected furniture supplier, we curated a furniture package that not only complemented the design concept but also supported long-term durability and flexibility.

We arranged showroom visits with the client to review product options firsthand, ensuring comfort, quality and functionality were considered alongside aesthetics. The result is a considered investment in furniture solutions that enhance day-to-day usability while reinforcing the overall design narrative.

Brand Integration

A key element of the brief was the incorporation of UK Private Capital’s refreshed brand identity. Throughout the programme, we worked closely with their senior management and marketing teams to ensure the rebrand was fully realised within the physical environment.

Manifestation elements, colour palettes, finishes and feature details were carefully aligned with brand guidelines, creating a consistent workplace that reflects the organisation’s evolution while maintaining professionalism and longevity.

The Outcome

Delivered through early-stage strategic involvement and close stakeholder collaboration, this project has provided UK Private Capital with a future-ready workplace that supports growth, strengthens brand presence and enhances both client experience and employee engagement.

The expansion has enabled the organisation to remain within its existing building while significantly increasing capacity, functionality and flexibility, demonstrating how intelligent space planning and integrated design can unlock the full potential of a workplace.
